Within the city of Hobart, overlooking the harbour, the sprawling gardens are easily the best in Australia. They house a wide variety of plants, spectacularly displayed. The gardens are within walking distance of the central city or you can catch a local bus to the gate. The Botanical Gradens are also included on some half day city tours. There is no entry fee. There is a café/restaurant in the gardens.
