      Both Bass Strait vessels carry passenger vehicles at a 
        government subsidised rate. The return fares for most cars and motorcycles 
        are free, except in Peak Season. Larger vehicles can also be carried on 
        both ships i.e. caravans and motor homes. The vehicles are driven on and 
        off by passengers (no reversing needed on the Spirit of Tasmania) Motorcycles 
        are lashed down securely.
