Touring - Lake Burbury

Tasmania is a small island, serviced by good roads. A circuit is about 650 miles (1000 kilometres) - but expect to do a lot more!

All major attractions are well serviced by local buses, and coach tours are available. Some remote areas are not accessible by public transport so special arrangements need to be made.

Transport choices include:

• Bring your own vehicle on the ferry from Melbourne
• Bring your own vehicle on the ferry from Sydney
• Hire a self-drive vehicle: car, campervan or motorcycle
• Use public transport, i.e. buses (passes available)
• Coach tours
• Bushwalking
